BRIDGES AND TAILPIECES
Many Fender banjo models have genuine maple
bridges with ebony backbones. ConcertTone
models have adjustable finger-type tension
tailpieces for precision fine-tuning. Artist and
Allegro models have single piece adjustable
tension tailpieces.
HEAD
Both Concert Tone and Artist models have
violin-shaped heads with stained walnut head caps,
maple underlays and elaborate hand-cut Australian
mother-of-pearl decorative inlays. Tuning heads on
all Fender banjos feature geared planetary drive
for easy and accurate string tuning. |

NECK
Concert Tone necks are of American black walnut
with walnut and maple center stripes. Wood
marquetry is inlaid beneath the rosewood
fingerboard. Each position marker is individually
designed and hand-cut from finest quality
Australian mother-of-pearl and is artfully inlaid.
RESONATOR
Hard maple resonators are Sunburst finished
on
Allegro models,select walnut veneers on Artist
models,matching quartered walnut veneers on
Concert Tone models. Custom hand-carved and
hand-painted heel and resonator available on
Concert Tone models. |

PLATING
24-Karat gold throughout on all Concert Tone
models.Heavy chrome on Artist and Allegro models.
SPECIAL FORMULA“BELL METAL”TONE RING (notshown)
Concert Tone and Artist models incorporate
this
unique Fender banjo feature. A special metal
“recipe”used by a well-known bell maker is used to
produce the Fender tone ring. The sound produced
by these banjos has a crisp,clean tone that
possesses a remarkable silvery quality with great
carrying power. |
