PATENTED HEAD ASSEMBLY
The patented tuning head assembly is fully-chromed
and recessed into the body of the instrument. In addition to presenting
an attractive appearance, each string is maintained at the proper
tension for perfect intonation.
FENDER WIDE-RANGE HIGH-FIDELITY PICKUPS
Fender makes its own guitar pickups. For this
reason,no other manufacturer has been able to duplicate the famous
“FenderSound".Fender pickup designs are patented.The pickups
themselves have a wide range and produce a pure,distortion-free
musical tone.Every coil in every Fender pickup is individually hand-wound
and tested.The individual pickup pole pieces are adjusted at the
factory for optimum performance. In addition,Fender pickups are
adjustable overall and are fully grounded to prevent annoying hum
and interference. |

PEDAL TUNING MECHANISM
Fender's tuning mechanism permits double sharping
and double flatting on 2000 and 800 pedal guitars;and single sharping
and flatting on 1000 and 400 models.Cables connecting the pedals
to the string pulling levers can be changed rapidly.Complete new
set-up is made simply by lifting clips from levers making up old
set-up and slipping them onto levers for new set-up. Actual tuning
of pedal-actuated strings is accomplished with set screws. After
the cables are hooked to the appropriate levers,they may be tuned
by pushing the pedal and tuming the proper screw.
PICKUP BLEND CONTROL
This unique control is located under the bridge
cover of all Fender Stringmaster, Dual6,Deluxe6,and Deluxe8 steel
guitars. It permits the player to adjust the amount of signal coming
from both pickups to achieve a wide range of tonal variations,from
smooth and mellow to very brilliant. |

CAM-ACTION BRIDGE AND ROLLER NUT (PEDAL
GUITARS)
Each Fender adjustable bridge consists of
a series of individual case-hardened cam sections.The movable cam
sections and roller nuts assure smooth action for accurate pitch
changes and exact return to correct pitch position.They also help
to prevent string breakage.
BODIES AND FRAMES
Fender pedal and steel guitar bodies are made
of solid hardwood with Fender's thick-skin high-gloss finish. Pedal
guitar bodies are set in massive 3-inch aluminum-magnesium alloy
frames.
This combination produces an over all rigidity that prevents intonation
problems when the pedals are operated. |
