FENDER/RHODES ELECTRIC PIANO
The Revolutionary new Fender/Rhodes Electric
Piano is a product truly worthy of professional standards. This
Piano is the culmination of many years of research to bring to the
musical market an electric piano with fine action and tone while
being able to withstand the hardest use. Full bass and sharp treble
notes give the musician a tone not available with any other instrument.
Extremely high volume without distortion is available on demand.
An extension speaker, available by special order, added to the unit
with give volume suitable for any stage and aids sound distribution.
The lack of distortion is immediately noticeable to the player no
matter how firmly the keys are struck! This feature is achieved
by use of patented“Tone bars”and a new hammer action, allowing not
only this dynamic action but a percussion-type efect as well. There
are no reeds to break inasmuch as special“Tines”are used with an
individual pickup for each note. In addition, each note is completely
and easily tunable by use of a simple spring adjustment. Basic tonal
characteristics may be altered by adjusting each tone bar in relation
to its pickup. Volume of each note in relation to others may be
controlled by moving the individual pickups toward or away from
the tine. Further tone and volume changes may be made by the three
controls,Bass Boost,Treble Boost and volume located on the face
of the Piano above the keyboard. The new Electric Piano is available
in either a 73 six-octave unit,or a 61 key five-octave instrument.
Both come with an ampliner-stand containing a sustaining pedal and
built-in vibrato. The amp-stand contains the equivalent power of
a Showman Amp; 4-12″Heavy Duty Speakers for the 73 key piano and
2-12″Heavy Duty Speakers with the 61 key model. The cabinets for
both Piano and Amp-stand sections are ruggedly built of 3/4″wood
with lock-joint corners and covered with attractive, long lasting
vinyl“Tolex.”The smoothly finished molded plastic action covering
is easily removable for access in tuning and adjustments. These
many features of the Fender/Rhodes Pianos make them without doubt
the finest available on the market today... |

FENDER/RHODES PIANO BASS
The new Fender-Rhodes Piano Bass used in conjunction
with any heavy-duty amplifier can be a great asset to pianists, organists, and
small combos lacking a bass player in its instrumentation. In addition, the
Piano Bass may be used in groups where the bass player doubles on
a second instrument or by any side man or vocalist. The Piano Bass
is a keyboard instrument possessing the tonal characteristics and
the pitch range of the standard string bass. There are thirty-two
keys starting with low“E”and extending upward to“B” below middle“C.”
The action is similar to that of the standard piano; when the keys
are depressed the damper releases enabling the player to achieve
sustained notes. When the keys are released quickly, the player will
have shortened or non-sustained notes. This touch control of volume
makes possible a percussion effect if desired. A separate volume
and tone control are provided for further variation. Any musician
with an average piano technique may carry on the normal“bass line”of
the standard bass, yet because of the extremely fast keyboard action
the musician is able to produce passages with speed and clarity
heretofore impossible,to say nothing of the harmonic efects achieved
with the ten fingers of two hands. Available for the Piano Bass
is a heavy-duty adjustable stand that enables the player to use
the instrument at any level from seated to standing position. The
top of the stand tilts at any angle for maximum convenience. For
use with spinette, studio and grand piano the tilt top of the stand
may be removed and placed on the piano. The Piano Bass may then
be placed directly above the piano keyboard. Musicians have found
that by adding the Piano Bass to their instrumental group they have
achieved the complete and finished sound that is important to every
musical organization. |
